Las Vegas Legends FC Moving On As Three Late Goals Sink Peak XI FC

Published Dec 1, 2023

IRVINE, CA (December 1, 2023) – Scoring late goals, and lots of them, seems to be Las Vegas Legends' thing.

Elad Cohen, Brandon Vargas and Duce Bell all scored after the 75th minutes as Las Vegends FC secured a 4-1 victory over Peak XI FC on Friday night in the NISA Nation National Championship semifinals at Orange County Great Park's Championship Stadium.

Peak XI's Emmanuel Gyamfi made it a 2-1 game with a stylish goal in the 80th minute, but Vargas nodded in a corner kick in the 87th minute before Bell finished off a David Villanueva orchestrated counterattack with a blast under the bar in 90 +1.

"I thought we were about to make a game of it when Gyamfi scored," Peak XI FC coach Don Harmon said. "He put that in and we had a moment, but Legends is really good."

Las Vegas Legends FC advances to play NoVa FC in the NISA Nation National Championhip Final at Championship Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. PT.
