SC Union Maricopa Re-Joins NISA Nation

Gilbert, AZ (January 10, 2023) – NISA Nation announces SC Union Maricopa will participate in the Southwest Region for the 2023 Season.
 
Formed in 2020 as Valley FC Raiders, the club previously played in NISA Nation during the 2022 Spring Season and won the NISA Independent Cup Southwest Region in 2022.
 
“Our organization takes great pride in supporting the goals of our many outstanding athletes around Maricopa County and our great state,” SC Union Maricopa co-founder Lanny Gholston said. “We want to help players move on to the next level of play and be successful in their journey. NISA Nation provides a substantial pathway to pro for players and having the support of Matt Morse and Dennis Pope means NISA Nation is working to be something very special for the future of the sport and the growth of NISA as a whole. We’re excited to be returning for another season in NISA Nation.”
 
SC Union Maricopa participated in qualifying for the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and operates developmental teams in the Southwest Premier League and the UPSL. The club also features a boys youth academy.
